| 1979 CHEVY CORVETTE L-82, #S MATCHING. Up for sale is this well-maintained, numbers matching 4-speed Chevy Corvette L-82 T-Top. It would be hard to find another Corvette as original as this one. Manual 4-speed transmission 8 cylinder 350 engine 91,000 miles Original exhaust system Original alloy rims Original caps on valve stems Low mileage on Goodyear tires Original leather high back bucket seats Original paint Car cover, dash cover, steering wheel cover and leather t-top cover Rear window defogger Power windows Power brakes Power antenna A/C AM/FM cassette radio I have owned this car for 5 years and regretfully have to sell it. This car was manufactured in St. Louis, Mo. I purchased it from the owner in Arizona. It was previously in California and now it is South Carolina. This car has always been garaged and it has been well maintained and there is no rust. There are no cracks in the original paint or fiberglass. The carpet has normal wear and tear and the original leather seats are in good shape with a few splits at some seams, which could easily be repaired. The aircraft-type console holds a 7,000 rpm tachometer, a voltmeter, oil pressure, temperature and fuel gauges. All gauges work. The dome light switch on the driver side is missing and the horn and clock are not working. Under the hood, the 1979 base engine received the dual-snorkel air intake introduced in 1978 for the optional L-82 V-8, which added 10 horsepower. This car runs straight and strong! This Corvette has a four-wheel independent suspension. It has a solid frame and has not been involved in any accidents. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly with a good working clutch. The steering and front end are tight. Power brakes work well. This car always gets lots of attention at local car shows. I have described this car to the best of my ability.
